It was sleepy time!
I get jealous of animals that can just sleep, anywhere, with anyone around. I mean, sure, the pig, or maybe a hog, I never know the difference, is stuck in a cage, but they still just look so content catching some Zzzzzz’s.

We are lucky enough to live near The Morton Arboretum in Illinois. Spring is an awesome time to live near a well-run arboretum, or heck, any type of tree or flower garden place.
Yup, tree blooms don’t last that long, but when they pop, they are awesome!

One of the places I used to love to take a walk was Cricket Creek around the Addison, Illinois area.
There was a lot of wildlife to be found, and on this day a group of box turtles were hanging out on some driftwood, as box turtles are want to do.

The Blue Heron looks like a clutzy kind of bird. Watch one long enough, though, and you will see that they are graceful creatures.

Orchids might be hard to keep blooming in the home, but in a botanical garden in Hawaii, they are plentiful and beautiful.

Hawaii has some spectacular foliage! These blooms also show some of nature’s most interesting symmetry.

With Spring comes lilac season in Illinois. It’s always fun to seen them bloom, especially when a bumper crop. I actually ate some lilac flowers once, in a dish prepared at a fancy restaurant. Tasty!

Don’t be afraid to look at life from a different perspective. Sure, it’s just a light pole, but looking at it different, and while it might still be a light pole, it is just a little more interesting!
